Finance & Administration Manager

Role Overview

Kiambu Golf Club is seeking a versatile Finance & Administration Manager to oversee the backbone of our operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring financial integrity while managing the essential administrative pillars including HR, ICT, procurement, security and facilities maintenance — that keep our club running at a premium standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee all accounting functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, risk management, cash flow management and coordination of external audit.
  • Administration & HR: Lead the Human Resources function, managing staff payroll, performance reviews, and industrial relations.
  • Operations & Security: Supervise the security section to ensure the safety of members and assets, and oversee the maintenance team to keep the club premises in pristine condition.
  • ICT & Procurement: Manage the club’s digital infrastructure and streamline purchasing processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial and operational reports to the General Manager and the Board.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field with honors from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Certification: Fully qualified professional accountancy qualification (for example CPA(K), ACCA).
  • Experience: At least 5–7 years of experience in a similar multi-functional role, preferably within the hospitality or private club sector. Proven expertise in developing and/or implementing financial controls and processes.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of international financial reporting standards and other accounting best practices. High proficiency in ERP systems. Experience using Anchor ERP is a significant added advantage.
  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams across different sections.
